Partially open to the African skies and sheltered by the indigenous Gusu forest lies the award winning Boma restaurant. This offers a unique African experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of Africa – together with the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe and its people. Specializing in a superb selection of traditional Zimbabwean dishes, fish, a variety of game meat and potjiekos (hunter’s stew) – as well as vegetarian meals – diners are invited to sample such ethnic delicacies as deep fried kapenta, famous mopani worms and groundnuts.
Traditional customs, such as local beer tasting and pre-dinner hand washing, are observed while the sights and Ndebele performers who captivate diners with their vibrant and energetic songs and dance accentuate sounds of the evening.
Steeped in mystery, a witchdoctor adds a touch of drama and after dinner guests are invited to while away the evening with the restaurant’s sangoma – a traditional storyteller – to learn more about the country’s folklore, culture and heritage.

Chobe Day trip.

The Caprivi Strip, just 70kms west of Victoria Falls is a very interesting area.  Not only does the Zambezi River form the borders of 4 countries here (Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and Zambia) but this is also the location of one of Africa’s finest natural game reserves – the Chobe National Park.  The added presence of the equally intriguing Chobe River (in one season the water flows downstream and in the other it flows upstream) brings a myriad of game and rare bird species to this natural wilderness.  The Park boasts the Big Five and the river teems with hippos and crocodiles which can be viewed both from boats and safari vehicles.  It is to this “animal paradise” that participants will be taken after an early breakfast at the Hotel.  After an hour’s drive through the Zambezi National Park, quick border formalities are carried out into Botswana before proceeding into the national park. Chobe River cruises and Game drives have to be one of the finest game viewing experiences in Africa. With over 80 000 elephant in the park alone they are a very frequent sighting. Hippo, water birds, buffalo, crocodile and puku are also viewed from the river. Lunch is served at Chobe Safari Lodge.Activities: Game Drive & Boat cruise on the Chobe River.Meals: Lunch

You will then be transferred back to Victoria falls and drop off at the hotel.

Harare City tour

Although relatively young as cities go, the city has tremendous diversity in its historical and cultural composition.  The tour takes in some important buildings in the city (e g Parliament House and the High Court), before proceeding to the Queen Victoria Museum, with its fascinating permanent and temporary exhibits of the country’s past and natural history. From the Museum, clients move on to the colorful Mbare People’s Market, crammed with handcrafted souvenirs of Africa. Abuzz with activity, here participants have the opportunity to bargain with vendors for their collectible handicrafts. The tour ends at the Harare Kopje, where it all began so to speak, when the Pioneer Column sent by Britain’s Charter Company first reached the site of the present day Harare, and hoisted the Union Jack on the Kopje “Hill” (small hill).  From this vantage point, the participants will be able to reflect on the city fabric, and the impact of past racial divisions, which even today have an influence on the planning and physical composition of Harare. The tour takes approximately 3 hours.
